False advertisement

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a reclining couch 5 years ago at Gallery Furniture with the excitement of having a couch that will last forever. 2 years after purchase, the couch lost its comfort, it sank.

5 years later, after continuously having to fix the spring that kept coming off for the recliner, the metal parts that hold the reclining part broke off completely. No way to repair on my own.

I am very disappointed at the BS promise of a sturdy couch, I spent $2,000 on, hoping it'd last at least 10 years as promised. Word of advice: Do not believe in any sales people even if they do good in the community, their bottom line is the money, they truly do not care about your financial situation and will try to sell at all costs even by lying through their teeth.

Negative sales tactics

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Purchased a Tempur-pedic mattress from gallery furniture. The purchase was made contingent on conditions of financing.

Salesman presented financing as no payments. No interest for 15 months as we understood. Management did not fully disclose complete terms at time of sale. As a result, we very quickly were found to be in default of payments.

After pleading with gallery furniture to correct the situation, we were not satisfied at all with the sales tactics or management decisions to pretend like this did not happen.

I would not recommend buying a pack of cigarettes from gallery furniture. It is my opinion Gallery furniture does not care about after sale, service, and honesty

Dissatisfaction with return and/or exchange penalties

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We bought a mattress with head and foot raising abilities and cooling feature. We slept in it for one night and found it was not suitable for our sleeping comfort and, for me, actually hurt my body (Im on oxygen 24/7).

We went back the next day and they said we could exchange the mattress but not the base. The we chose another less expensive mattress but they told us the charges for returning, restocking AND delivery were ridiculous. There is so much more to our horrible experience with Gallery Furniture and the salesman but I think you get the idea. DO NOT do business with them.

We are out over $9,000 and stuck with a bed we are not happy with.

Thank you Mattress Mac for the lesson you gave us on not dealing with you ever again. Next time we will go to American Home Furniture.

Gallery Furniture - Warranty issues

I called because a chair I purchased was peeling. I had purchased the leather guard as well.

I was asked to send pict which I did then told theyd give me 50 per of my purchase price bk as store credit. I asked if this is written in policy she said Mack decides. I asked to speak with her mgr she said call back and ask for Mack so I did. This was disastrous he was so rude and wouldnt let me speak actually hung up on me 4x I was appalled.

Im neither black or Hispanic or poor. He treats peop like dirt only does good for media publicity. I was asking nothing of him just for him to honor the warranty. Then the lady said she will refund my warranty fee.

Really is this a game. Never will I buy from this place again!

I purchased some beautiful furniture from Fayette Furniture Gallery on S kibo Rd. The furniture was delivered just as promised. When I went into the store I was greeted by the sales manager and was given the upmost respect in helping and assisting me .I would recommend this store to anyone, also the store was very neat and organized. I will shop with them again.

Mack very rude, unprofessional

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I stopped in the store with my brother (he lives with me), I decided to purchase a leather sofa $8000 and a wood chest $2000. My brother opened the credit and was approved for the purchase.

I did not accept the "delivery tonight because", as advertised. I planned to give away old furniture. Before delivery of furniture from Gallery I changed my mind for personal reasons. I went to the store to request cancellation of delivery and to resend the $11,000 charge to Wells Fargo on my brothers credit.

I tried to explain as I was a previous customer of Gallery furniture for the past 15 years. I went to Mack and he met me with a hateful scowl, he was angry and told me to meet him at the sales counter. I went to the sales counter and the sales people were all standing around looking scared, I then tried to talk to him as a customer to request cancellation at one point he turned his back to me to take a phone call and stated to party on phone "furniture sales are not to good these days." He then turned around to talk to me again. Once he found out I had not accepted delivery of the furniture his attitude changed a little.

He offered me $2000 off the purchase on the spot. He then handed me off to his sales manager JIM and said to him "see what you can do to help this lady". Jim was a nice guy but he works for Mack and he tried to save the sale with some flim flam talk. Two days later I called Jim and again requested a cancellation of purchase.

It was a week later and only after my brother called Wells Fargo, who financed the furniture and ask them to open a dispute we received a credit refund. Mack is a beast and very unkind , callous and rude to customers.

Anyone who would spend that much money on a charge card for anything needs a thorough psych evaluation. Then you had to flip flop.

And blame it on somebody's personality ? What ?

You fouled up. I would have to shave a zero off that price before I'd even look at a couch and chest.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We personally purchased several items in the store and since they told us they where very busy that day and the following day we where going to be contacted. We travel a lot so several months went by and when we tried to call to see why we had not received the call to go an pick up the items. we where told the they had been picked up a week after we bought them. We requested to see the pick up info since we where out of the country then. they said they could not do anything owner was careless about this issue. its so sad to see an organization like this steal from its customers. .

Gallery furniture ripoff Mack

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am disabled and purchased a recliner from Gallery Furniture because I have a hard time finding a chair that is comfortable. They told me and I verified that they accept returns if you are not comfortable.

I told them I am disabled and have a hard time but they said they would accommodate. I purchased a chair and found it uncomfortable. I called the next day to return it and spoke to the customer service department which I found out later it was Mattress Mack's sister or family member. They were extremely rude and told me they would not honor their policy.

I explained it was the reason I purchased the chair. The family member/customer service rep became furious and told me they were his family and that they would tell him not to take my calls. I was shocked. I then called back and asked for Matress Mack since I had seen how much he supposedly cares for the disabled.

I was shocked when he told me to *** I'm still shocked. I've never been treated this way by anyone ever. I called the customer service line again and the family member/ customer rep told me they had told him I cursed at them so that he wouldn't take my call. So I tried again to call Mack and tell him what I was just told.

A man answered and told me not to call back that they would file a complaint with the police. I don't think Mack ever understood what actually happened or maybe he just thought it was funny to screw with a disabled customer. I'm still in complete shock. I still have a chair I can't use.

I was ripped off by gallery furniture.

So the next time you see Mack on the news acting charitable just remember how he really treats people when the cameras are not rolling. I don't have a lot of money and this hurt me financially and I was bullied by this company.

Worst Customer Service EVER

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a bunk bedroom set for three-year-old toddler and we had several issues. Where to begin. First, the sales guy informed us that we would have to purchase a mattress for a trundle bed mattress, so we went to Sam's Club before purchasing the furniture and we bought a twin size. We get to GF and the sales guy says, no you need a full size for the trundle, I am certain. Back to Sams Club we go and we exchanged the twin for a full mattress. Since we do not have a pick up truck, we had everything placed on hold at the front of the store so my parents can pick it up later that evening and we had to purchase three mattresses in total, so this was not a cheap proposition. The next day the furniture was delivered and guess what? The trundle mattress comes with the beds out and it was a twin size like we originally had thought! Therefore, we had to make a third trip back to the mattress store to return a certain address. Additionally, I had already ordered all sorts of bedding in the wrong sizes. The correct sizes for the mattresses for my sons bunk bed are: twin, full and twin trundle. What's your say I called the store and complained and somehow I got patched into mattress Mac, I was astounded to find that he was not what you see on TV. I told him that we purchased our furniture for all he did for the city of Houston during hurricane Harvey, I didn't get a simple thank you for being a first time customer or any ounce of gratitude. He then proceeded to ask me what do you want me to do m what's your say I called the store and complained and somehow I got patched into mattress Mac, I was astounded to find that he was not what you see on TV. I told him that we purchased our furniture for all he did for the city of Houston during hurricane Harvey, I didn't get a simple thank you for being a first time customer or any ounce of gratitude. He then proceeded to ask me what do you want me to do? He did agree that it was a nightmare and that the sales guy was a complete moron for making such a mistake and I said well how we know the quality of the mattress on the trundle bed, we would've just purchased the storage drawers which were $200 cheaper and so he gave me a $200 refund towards my $2800 purchase and this excludes the $700 I purchased at Sam's Club for the mattresses. Of course, I was appreciative that I got something back from activation and keep in mind, I am heavily pregnant and cannot lift things, so this is quite a burden for my husband. Finally my second and last astounding issue was that the sales guy told me and my husband that they would move furniture for us out of the former nursery into the new nursery and they have this printed on the ticket. They actually listed what furniture would be moved. Huge mistake! We come to find out if they damaged our crib, our dresser and our hutch during reassembly. The three furniture pieces cost about $2500 and they claim no responsibility. Once discovered, I called the store and the lady that answered the phone had extreme empathy for our situation and said that the sales manager of the store Lloyd would give us a call back. Days went by and I left a message after message with no return call. fortunately, I had his cell phone number from the mattress debacle and I gave him a call and he acted like I was some second-class citizen treated me like complete crap. He was so unbelievably rude and unappreciative of my business and I told him how would you feel if this was your experience as a first time customer? He said we've been through everything and I have nothing further to say to you and we moved your furniture and reassembled it as a courtesy and it is not our fault. I said well your sales guy should not be promising customers that the $200 delivery fee comes with moving furniture, that's deception. He admitted that the sales guy should not have been promising this to make a sale, and he said he would speak to Mack about the issue. Today Lloyd called me back and left a message asking for me to return his call. I called him back and he acted like I was some stranger on the street and had no idea why I was crying and he said we discussed everything. I reminded him that he called me and left a message. We proceeded to get it into a very verbal disagreement and he told me that I bought cheap furniture and what do I expect out of a trundle mattress and we already giving you $200 back toward your purchase? I told him that he has no conscience if you are stocking poor quality furniture in your store. Also, I like interject that I disagree that this is bull quality furniture, who spends $2800 plus $700 and mattresses for three-year-old? I asked him if he would spend that kind of money on a timer and had no response. Then he was super dismissive of me and said ma'am we're through here, there's nothing left to say. I pointed out to him as a first time customer this was the most appalling customer service experience I have ever encountered. I told him the place that we purchased our crib from, Babies First could run circles around them in the service department. I thought that I said that I purchased my baby furniture 3 1/2 years ago and they still act like I'm her neighbor down the street and I said I Purchased nearly $3000 with the furniture from you three weeks ago and you act like I am your worst enemy. Their furniture might be made in America, but their customer service isn't. I have never seen such deceitful and dishonest people in my life, if you're reading this, beware, you have been warned about Gallery furniture! They are sheep in wolves clothing. I will never step foot in a single store of theirs again.

Still having ongoing problems. Constantly having spots where color comes off.

Still under warranty but when I called and spoke to lady in service she called me a liar. I told her she can send someone without notice anytime to see if I am a liar.

I sent pictures as requested and she hasn't called me back not the first time. I feel like Mack only does good things for people when it can be publisized.

Yikes and I thought rooms to go was bad for their peeling leather products. I won’t shop gallery either when I’m looking for a new sofa next year. Rooms to go won’t help me replace their *** sofa with a new one.

Don't buy leather from Gallery. Color comes off for no reason.

I keep them covered with soft throws. If they hadn't done touch up they would look like spotted leather and the leather gets crinkly and saggy quick. They touched them up but its like buying a new car and paint coming off. They could fix it but it wouldn't be the same.

Lady in service called me a liar saying I let dogs on sofas but as fragile as the sofas I would never. I don't have dogs in the house.

Junk sub-standard workmanship

i purchased a house full of furniture at Gallery 45 north. The 1st. dresser had to be replaced because it came apart at the stables on the back side. i was charged a delivery charge twice. One for the bad dresser and one for the replacement. Also the foot board on the king size bed broke apart on the wood at the connection the metal dinning room table and chairs revealed broken welds and can't be used. i called Gallery for a replacement or repair and was told no. I will not go back to Gallery, (unhappy customer} because of poor quail y. Wish that this could have been resolved or fixed. I never ask for a refund but had a right to do so.
